750 twin starter clutch ???? was created by jake100
Just what fails on these things some times it slips (alot) I took it apart I was hopeing that a spring would be broken/missing. But all looks good no obvious sign of anything damaged.?? Would a little stronger spring be in order?? Thanks Jake

What type/grade of oil are you using? Some of the auto oils contain a friction modifier that can cause slipping.
I've read/heard the Shell Rotella 15W40 and 20W50 works well in the Kawasaki air cooled engines.

Look for wear on the hub surface the rollers engage. Also, saw wear inside where the rollers retract to. I don't think stronger springs will do a thing as they don't apply the engaging force and that would keep them from retracting as they must do.Just what fails on these things some times it slips (alot) I took it apart I was hoping that a spring would be broken/missing. Well I'm useing Kendall motorcycle oil and like I say hub looks smooth nothing look real chewed up or worn out the only sign of possable wear is on the things (plungers) that are on the end of the springs that contact the rollers. The manual doesn't give any wear specs on these however. Jake

Look at the areas in the housing that the rollers rub across as they go in and out. If there is any roughness, it may be keeping one of the wheels from popping back out correctly.
