ok i have a 78 kz650 sr my brake light works but it doent stay on it only comes on when i push the brake pedal !! how do i make it come on and stay on and then get brighter when i push the pedal ??? please help i wanna go on a night ride tonight !

There are two lights in the bulb, a tail light and a stop light. You have a problem with the tail light side. Have you removed the red lens and looked at the bulb yet?

yea i put a new bulb in i dont have the trun signals hooked up so there is a couple of wires not hooked up if my brake light works when i push the pedal should the running light still work or is there other wires that need to be hooked up

Have you seen if your headlight is working? Do you have a on/off switch that controls the headlight and taillight?

You have the running light wire unhooked. Get a tester, turn on the key, test all the wires until you find the one that is hot, plug it in.

Your Tail Light is the Red wire.
Your Stop Light is the Blue wire.
Your Ground Return or (-) Battery is the Black/Yellow wire.
Sounds as if your Red wire is not connected or open circuit. Be prepared to test your Red wire for (+) Battery Vdc, to clean all connector contacts and or to repair or replace the Tail Light socket.
