For reliability you must NOT use the crimp-on power connector provided by Dyna. There have been many, many, many (you get the idea) reports from members that describe intermittent Ignition failures traced to Dyna’s provided insulation displacement type (+) Battery connection!
Splice, solder and heat shrink tubing connection or an OEM Bullet to Socket connector system or an automotive connector system... anything other than the Dyna connection system has provided reliable use. Act accordingly.
Here is how I did mine:
Note:
-1) On my bike I added a separate 5 Amp fuse circuit just for the Coils. I did this for easier troubleshooting/fault location... which has not been necessary so far.
-2) As you can see I used the OEM Bullet and socket connector system which I got from a trusted supplier, Z1.
Terminal Pin B1 Male - 10 pack. Link
Terminal Cover B3 Male - 10 pack. Link
Terminal Pin B2 Female - 10 pack. Link
Terminal Cover B4 Female - 10 pack. Link
-3) I wanted to keep the Oil Pressure light feature but the original Dyna cable did not include the Blue/Red wire! So I added a Blue/Red circuit and shrink tubed the lot together.
Best of success.

I am a "Stock Jock" as well but some modern tec. Can make life a little easier. Can = meaning seams somethings made nowa days ends up junk quickly. Old reliable works good to. I am going to order the kit asap and of corse keep OLD parts for the day the New Stuff dies and I still want to RIDE. Keep It Alive Looking Like The Day It Was Made. STOCK ROCKS
dyna s is ultra reliable....."set it and forget it" as they say....
