Speedo jumping on acceleration was created by micatpat
on acceleration the speedo jump's the harder the acceleration the bigger the jumps, at a cruise it has about a 5 mph jump, on a decel it holds the speed steady? i replaced the cable this spring and probably rode about 500 miles before this started?

Did you lube the new cable when you installed it? These cables need lube big time.

Once a year I pull the inner speedo cable out and clean it with sovent, relube it with some moly based wheel bearing grease and reinstall it. No problems!
