Electrical Clean Up was created by TkdFav
The previous owner of my bike (82 KZ 550 LTD) had some big ugly fairing on the front with lights on the forks. Everything is removed but it seems as though when the other headlight was installed the wires were clipped too short. I put the original headlight on and removed all the "extras" I want to redo the head light wiring because its a mess. When I go over bumps or tap the wires my turn signals flash or my fuel light goes on. Any suggestions or advice before I start redoing the wiring? Knowing me I'll probably redo the whole harness.

Also I'm looking to put new fuses in instead of the glass tubes, suggestion and advice would be appreciated

Thanks

The newer "Blade" style fuses and fuse holders can be wired to replace the older glass tubed fuses and clips.

A website that carries compact ATC/ATO fuses and holders is:http://order.waytekwire.com/productdetail2/M37/46071/COMPACT%20FUSE%20BLOCK%20%20%20%20%20%206%20FUSE/

They carry tools, wire, and terminal ends that will attach to the fuse block/holder.

Some really good non-adhesive harness tape (the kind that does not get sticky and ooze when hot) is:

Dry Vinyl Tape From Tape Brothers
www.tapebrothers.com

Dry Vinyl Tapes are non-adhesive plasticized polyvinyl chloride film tape. Easy unwinding characteristics - tape clings firmly to it’s own backing for tight wrap. High elongation and good strength to permit trouble-free binding of wiring harnesses for the automotive industry. Dry vinyl tape also used for plating applications- high stretch, good “cling” characteristics and great conformability provide for superior masking in hard chrome and other plating applications.
