Minimal wiring to run engine 650 was created by pburnhamb
Hey guys. I need a lot of help with my wiring. I have the hacked up harness, but just want to start over and get rid of all the POs hack jobs. I can figure out all the lighting and switches later. What im trying to do is just rewire (new wire/connectors) the minimal amount of things i need to do to start the Engine and run it. I have the diagram in the back of the clymer manual, but am wondering if there is a simpler way to do it and what i will need just to run the engine.
I know this is a lot to ask , but please help. I can rewire all the lights and switches some other time, i just want to get rid of the old wire rats-nest and start over.
I just started the 810 i completed and she runs great, it would kill me to put this wire mess back on the bike.
thank you in advance.

I would go for the charging system first. Then get the coils and ignition. That is all it would take to run at the very minimum.

I would keep the harness you got and eliminate the circuits you will not be using as you pull your hair out with all the spagetti. The harness will have the colors you need for the schematics.
