My buddy that bought the 1075 75 Z1-b called me and said he was going throught one of the many boxed he got with the bike, he found a brand new dyna-s, new dyna 3ohn coils, and red copper core wires. Can i run the copper core wires with the dyna-s? Or do i need the supression core ones? Im going to install the dyna-s on it tommorow, in hopes of getting spark and hearing that monster roar to life.

I have run copper core with my ignition for years. I don't think there should be any problem. Dude are you up for a nice long ride? I hope to have my bike back either today or tomorrow! I got a Jones and this time it's for the zapper. I wanna see what you have done with your bike. We gotta ride up and meet with otakar after all this time especially now that he said he will be having "Too Much Time On His Hands". That would be nice for a bit. Oh yeah, that's right! I too will be in that situation next Friday.;) Let the riding begin!

Ok, cool. Ya they are the dynatec copper core wires. Im up for a ride, im waiting to get my rear wheel back from my buddy, it kept loosing air evry few days. Then he said he might have pinched the tube putting it in. But he is replacing the tube after he gets off work today, so hopefully tonight i will be back in buisness.

The only reason to run suppression wires is where RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) is an issue.

If you are running radar detectors, radios, intercoms, GPS devices and some EFI and sophisticated ignition units (like the Dyna 2000), you should run suppression wires or suppression plug caps.

Don't ever make the mistake of running suppression wires WITH suppression plug caps... it causes all sorts of issues...

It can also make digital volt-meters go crazy. If you are going to do measurements to check the charging system etc., you may want to run resistor plugs temporarily until you are done with the meter.

Excellent point Jeff....

Add to the list for those doing street fighter conversions where there isn't a front speedo drive/sender unit....

Digital Speedo/tach's don't like RFI either... ;)
