Replacing the guage lights in my Z1 with led's? was created by oldkaws4ever
I was thinking about using some blue tinted led bulds for my speedo and tach gauges, i think it would look awsome at night. What led bulbs would i need to acomplish this? I also would like to replace my dummy lights with clear led's so the will be brighter. Thanks guy's, Jim.

Heylo!
I saw a post about this somewhere (not sure if it was KZR). I got a set of these LEDs for my gauge/dummy lights.
They fit my KZ750, i'm not sure if they fit the Z1...
but here they are anyways.
10 pcs LEDs
Some guys use the 5 LED bulbs from that seller, but i wouldn't wanna try to squeeze it into place, and 5 LEDs is kinda overkill in my opinion
If you want a cool effect, go with the blue bulbs for the gauges and clear for everything else. I sent a note to the seller and asked if i could get 5 super white and 5 blue; they said no problem, just said to specify it again after payment.
They're similar in size to the original bulbs, so there should be no problem squeezing them into place.
I'll get you a picture of the blue LEDs tomorrow or tuesday. Got exam to study for

Took a break from studying.
Here's how they look in my gauges, pics taken in my garage in pitch black, so, seems kinda dark, but with other ambient light, should be fine.
Overall View
Speedo
Tach
Only problem is needles can't be seen as well, but they look cool, and that's what counts ! I haven't tried em while riding yet (waiting on tires). Will probably take her out at night sometime this week...

Wow that looks awsome, i can't wait to get them. How long did it take for you to get them? I got an e-mail from them this morning saying that it had already been shipped.

It took about a week and a half. Pretty fast considering it's coming by snail mail from hong kong...
I love receiving packages for my bike !
Let me know how it goes,

I tried some green ones once. I did not think that they were bright enough. I used some loose ones that I ran when my stock ones kept blowing. You have to remember that your faces are black, So a few more would be better.
