Hi
Removed & am now refitting the wiring harness on my KZ1000 Ltd 1981 and I can't remember what plugs into one of the blocks that spurs off the main harness under the tank. I only have a Black & white diagram and it is difficult to work it out.
It is a white four pin male connector forward of the fuel sender spur.
The four wires are coloured:-
Blue/white
White/green
White/red
Red/white

Thanks

There's at least one, maybe more, downloadable color wiring diagrams for various 1981 KZ1000 models to be found in "Filebase" under KZ Information (green ribbon toward top of screen).

For example, here's the CSR which is probably very close to the LTD.

Color wiring diagram

Good Luck! :)

Hi Patton

Thanks very much for that. I managed to find what the connector is for, looks like it is for the turn signal. I had some electrical work done on the bike by a guy over here in the UK who advertises a lot in bike mags- Ferret's Electrickery, very expensive and up his ass about how specialist motorcycle electrics are- not too hard to understand on a KZ. Anyway looks like he has frigged around with the main harness and wired the turn signals in elsewhere.

Thanks for the diagram soooo! much easier in colour.
Have a great weekend
