I was able to find help soldering my the wires back down but cannot understand how the left hand control switch goes back together. We had to remove everything for access to the 3 wires which had come loose but I can't find a diagram or a parts list to work from.

For those who have seen them, what is the brass roller looking tube for? It looks like a spacer. How many are there supposed to be? I am beginning to think I lost something.

Can anyone explain how the automatic cancellation is supposed to work?

1983 kz550 ltd. It appeared that the self canceling signal controls were only in use on a few models. Knowing how any of them worked or having a parts diagram would be a big help.

The auto cancelling turn signals added to bikes is usually a timer circuit that is wired inline with the power to the turn signal flasher so that when you turn on the signal, it can only flash for a certain length of time and then stops. It resets when you return the TS switch to center.
