strange electrical problems was created by Bek82
Hello all. I have a 1980 KZ750 LTDII that's having some funky problems with its lighting. First off, the neutral light won't come on, but the oil light and lamp light will. Dont know if it's a wiring problem of if theres a bulb that needs to be changed out.
Second my rear right blinker won't blink. I disconnected one of the wires and it came on...except it won't blink still. Not sure what's going on at all...So for all you electrical guru's, whats going on?

Hi Bek82. Some questions for you.
Have you checked that the bulb isn't blown?
Is the wire on the neutral switch?
Continuity from end to end?
Can you substitute an earth to check the switch?
Power?
When you say "I disconnected one of the wires ".
Which wire?
Do you have a manual?
Rearrange questions as you see fit.:side:
Best Regards.

wow loads of questions. Okay I disconnected the black wire from the rear turn signal and it lit up. so the bulb is good...and I'm assuming that I have power. I don't have a manual...um and I'll get back to you on the other questions...You don't happen to know what the model number is for the rear brake light do you? I can't find it for the life of me online...

May download on-site wiring diagram by going to Filebase under KZ Information, go to 1980 and choose model, then to wiring diagram and download it.

Good Luck! :)
