Starter Disconnect Switch? was created by rupplemintz2004
Hey guys, newbie here. I am putting the wiring together for a KZ750 with the climbers wiring diagram and am working with reaplacemtnt parts from a running donor bike. I have the lights and blinkers working Ok so far but that is about it. Power is going into the starter solenoid but nothing cranks or reads when I thumb the starter. I cannot find the starter disconnect switch to check it. Where is the thing? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Welcome aboard! Is there fire going to the selenoid when you press the starter button? Are you holding the clutch in when you hit the starter? Just some ideas. Roy

Welcome.
On my 650, the switch is on the clutch lever. The starter wont work if the clutch is not pulled in. Other bikes have the switch on the side stand. Side stand must be up to start I think.

It's kinda obvious, but check "Kill" switch on LH bar. Saw one way loose inside once. Wire just wore plumb thru and was hanging by a thread, literally.
Good luck.
