failure to charge was created by exoskel
Hello all, I did search before posting so forgive me if I didn't see the relevant topic!
It seems that my battery isn't being charged while the engine's running. I've checked for loose connections, bare wires, checked the fuses, the battery is 2 weeks old. Throttling up will not increase the brightness of the headlight. Would my next step be to check the regulator/rectifier or the alternator? Also, I am unsure how to verify that the alternator is working as it should!
Thanks in advance for your help!

check your voltage at battery while idling then at around 3000 rpms or so to see if voltage increases.then id check regulator and associated stuff

it is the R/R that is at fault! it seems completely dead.
now the problem, finding one that works for my bike without shelling out $200+ for one from babbitts

Well this looks like the one! Seems much better than buying a used one from a salvage yard that'll charge half of what the dealers charge!
Thanks so much Patton, you're #1 in my book
