NGK Plug Cap Size? was created by athlonwirez
I just ordered some VD05 (120 deg.) and LD05 (90 deg.) resistor plug caps, because a couple on the bike that my father-in-law is going to give me (1978 1000LTD) were broken. My question is will these fit standard plugs? These are suppose to be for 10 and 12 mm plugs, while the VB05 and LB05 are for 14mm plugs. On the NGK site HERE I do not see much difference. I only see some small length differences, yet no diameter differences. What do you all think?

The diference is in the little rubber boot that seals around the cap and the plug.

The NGK sparkplug caps grip the threads on top of the sparkplugs. Most plugs have a terminal that unscrews allowing the NGK cap to push on making electrical contact.
