Ignition coils and plug wires was created by Skonnie Boy
Question: Assuming the OEM ignition coils are OK, can one replace the plug wires on these? One of the wires is complete toast, rusted off the plug cap and without enough slack to retrim the wire.
Apologies for some of these questions, got the bike in the garage some 10 miles away, otherwise I'd just start taking stuff apart.
Thanks again.

Plug wire splicers are available from Z1E, as are both metal core and resistor style Dyna plug wires (which come with caps already built in).
I have no experience with the splicers.
Good Luck!

On my 82 GPZ1100 B2 the sparkplug wires to the coils were replacable. The coils had a sharp spike that pierced the wires and a ferule with a cap to retain the wire(s).
The primary(smaller wires) had a 1/4" male terminal that mated the female terminals from the main harness.

The original coils on my '77 KZ650-B1 had Hi-voltage wires that were sealed and therefore not replaceable.
If yours are identical then, as Patton mentioned, a splice is the lowest cost solution.
However, like Patton, I have never used a splice either.
Best of success.

Yes, of course! A splice. I'll give that a shot. I can't imagine there would be any difference between the my C and the your B model, as far as such things. Thanks, all.
