my speedo is busted to shit..it is electrical and i cannot find a replacement anywhere..would it be overly difficult to just switch to a mechanical speedo..thanx for any info..

Don't know about a mechanical substitute, but I think I may have an electrical speedo in the garage. If you are interested, I'll take a look in the morning.

I found it, but I can't get the pics to post.
As I was cleaning it up a bit I noticed that someone had been into it, probably to replace the glass. The glass and face are in good shape. The chrome ring is pretty rough from the reinstall. The painted part of the case has a dent and a little surface rust. The chrome part of the case is shiny, but has a little rough spot. It worked when it came of the bike a few years ago, so I assume it still does. I'll be easy on you if you want it. Send me a pm with your e-mail address and I'll send the pics and we can work out the details.
