Dyna coil question

I,ve got a question about dyna coils. The 3 ohm green ones. I have two cylinders with sooty plugs. #1 and #2. The other two are nice and light brown. Running a Dyna s ign. and dyna wires. both new. timing is dead on and carbs have just been rebuilt and jetted identically. Also have done wired george coil relay mod.
So my question is.,,, can the coils produce a weak spark on one wire and a good spark on the other?

I forgot to mention , the bike is a '77 kz1000

My understanding is the left coil fires plugs 1 & 4 and the right coil 2 & 3. How is compression on the sooty cylinders? Valve clearances been checked? Engine smoking on start up?

Switch the plug and coil wires to see if the problem moves to the other good plugs to determine if the coil has gone bad(make a map of where the wires go before and after to reduce confusion).

If not already done, would also assure fuel levels in carb float bowls #1/2 are not too high, by using clear tube test method.

Good Luck! :)

Oh-Oh!!!!! Here we go..............

"carbs have just been rebuilt and jetted identically"

What about the air/mix/pilot screw adjustments and synch adjustments, have these been performed?

As Patton mentioned, float heights correct?

Well,

Patton hit the nail on the head. The float levels on 1 and 2 were a little on the high side. Probabbly around 1mm high ,but just enough to make them run too rich.
I guess the coil idea was just another brain fart on my part.
