Getting pissed....

Today went outside to start my zfighter...and it wouldn't start. Me thinking its not a big deal, i crank her a lil bit more, nothing....getting a little frustrated, i put some ether in there, and turned her over...NOTHING! So i take out cyl 4 spark plug, and it's wet...(petcock sucks...)I dry it off, and try to see if there is any spark....NOTHING...i got a little jolt while holding the wire....But nothing like it should be....WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON!?! Also..my headlight all of a sudden stop working....SOMEONE....PLEASE help ME!

Remove the main fuse and look at it closly. Some times they melt the lead in the caps and it will still look good. Roy

sounds like a dead battery to me check the voltage or as roy has said check your fuse's it will normally be some thing simple to deal with don't freak out it will be easy to fix i'm sure. remember you are dealing with an old bike

k i will replace the fuse...Because she turns over...and the battery is on the charger...the stator is brand new....but there was no spark at the plugs...and it just ran like on sunday....

Check the kill switch, I can't turn mine off or it will stay off and look like its on. (Bad switch} Thats one of my next things on my list.

if your headlight is not working i'd say it was definitly voltage related somehow.

yeah it was working, and then all of a sudden...Nothing...! i took out the light and it was not blown...so i dont know..

Battery is on the charger does not mean it is charged. How old is it? Old batteries can crap out on you. Grab a volt meter and check voltage. Also, make sure you main ground cable is still attached to the motor. Could be the ignition switch (key) as well.

Headlight turned back on....but still no firing....i left a part out of my story...Last we got a lot of rain...and on one of the dry days...i tried to take her out of my back yard, and the stupid center stand spring came out and the stand caught the ground..well so ofcourse...i fell over...wasn't a big deal, but the side i fell on was the ignition side...i noticed today that the wires were a little loose coming from that right side cover...but the bike ran after that lil mishap. just not for very long...it started up, and died, started up and died...Now nothing..
