KZ 1982 H Ignition to KZ 650 E

Hi guys, I was wondering if anything else is needed to put a 1982 KZ 750 ignition into my KZ 650 E other than the backing plate with pickups and the rotating pulser on the centrifugal advance unit? Is there any other component that I need? Bob U

You also need the igniter. You can get them on Ebay for $20 to $50 depending on time of year, but they are already over 25 years old and may not have too much life left. The dealer wants $500 for them if they even can get them anymore.

Here's a post where I first put a kz1000 elec. ignition into my '78 kz650.
I later switched to an '80s kz650 electronic ignition.
