Welcome to the group. My wife (abilane78) is also a member, rider, and knows haw to re-jet carbs. I don't think she's a lesbian though.

You can do this bike. Stay calm, pay attention, study a manual, and ask questions. Just don't give up!

Just doing this job myself. I have just stripped down an 82 250 LTD and painted every part and polished (for hours) all the other pieces. The wiring harness is actually very simple. As was said earlier, one end fits the headlight so start there. all the wiring is colour coded except for one combination on my bike where beige goes with green in the front headlight (most of the connections are in the headlight). Tape and label connections on each side of the connection before you take them apart. It will be so much eaisier to put back together.

Just wanted to offer some info for anyone reading this thread who actually wants to try and finish the job.

Good luck

I was just browsin' wondering if there were other ladies on this sight and lo and behold there you are. I ride a '76 KZ 900 A4. I've been riding it since 2004. Used to have a '76 KZ400. The 900 is so much easier to ride and my husband is the original owner. He's the main mechanic but as you already found out-trust noone 100% You must learn as much as you can-with the help of this sight in addition to the shop and Chilton's manuals to keep your ride in top shape. Good luck with your new ride!
