Hey Guys, I know this isn't a KZ but does anyone know why the red temperature light on an 85 ZL900 Eliminator stays on when the engine is not even warmed up yet. This bike sat for 8 years and I just got it running today but noticed the red temp light on from the start. Thanks

I'd check the electrical connectors for any corrosion. If they are green or black, take a brass bristle brush to the male pins and a pipe cleaner soaked in electrical contact cleaner(NOT WD-40!) to the female sockets. I use a brand sold at Radio Shack called De-oxit.
