Before I completely dissasembled my bike I did the same thing, I used 7mm copper core wires because you don't have to worry about any other electrical interference. If you go and use some sort or aftermarket electrical tacks or speedo's that don't run on cables you will want to choose supression. If you run supression wires with resistor plugs you run a good chance of damaging your ignition system.

Someone correct me if I am wrong plz.

So when I put an electric tach on the bike I have to switch to suppression wires? Bummer.

You don't have too, but it may interfer with the tacks ability to count sparks. I have an aftermarket koso gauge everything and copper wires, I was just sure to run the gauge wires far away from the spark plug wires and everything worked fine.

Jack, I'd get a set of Dyna wires - they fit the coils and are easy to install, $17 at Z1E:

www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=209

Been running that exact setup (Dyna S, Dyna 3 ohm coils and Dyna wires) on my 650 for like 3 years now, no problems at all.

You can get Dyna suppression wires too if that's what you need.

Jack.

I have a B1 650 - i fitted dyna s pickups/ dyna coils and dyna wires - all from z1 - big improvement straight away.

Check your coil voltage too - if its low - try the coil mod as recommended by wiredgeorge.
