I'd liek to get 35mm turn signal stems for my 650. Will KZ1000 stems work on a 650?

I'd imagine they would, as Kawasaki tried to make many models parts interchangeable to lower costs.

Thats what I think too, but the part numbers dont match up so I want to make sure. I'll probably end up buying them anyways, and make tehm fit if I have to.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I've used them interchangably over the years. The difference is the base of the KZ1000 stem is more heavy, and molded as part of the stem, where the KZ650 stem uses just more or less a molded fender washer. The 650 gets bent real easy, where the KZ1000s dont. If there's a difference in length, it's not noticable. I measured two and the difference *may* be 1mm.

Cool, thanks, I'll be using them then. I noticed that about the base, seems much more robust on the 1000.

I used stems from a cb400 on my 650. You just need a 10mm stem as most turn signals use a standard mount.

I've also used 1000 stems on my 650 in the past.
Their a dirrect fit.
Some stems do have a thinner hole down the center if they're designed for two wire signals, and need to be drilled larger if your B model front signals have 3 wires running through them.
The 3 wire signals are also running lights. C model 650 have these on the front. You can also put 3 wire front signals from the front onto the back and run the 3rd wire to the back to give you 4 running lights, all around.
Makes for added visabilty for other drivers to see you better at night, but may be illegal in some areas.
I do miss having 4 running lights as I've since put other signals on over the years.
