Speedo Mount Foam was created by dshelly
Like many other Kz's the foam on my speedo mount has deteriorated. Has anyone ever replaced the foam on the speedo mount? What type of foam was the original stuff? Not sure what to get.

You can cut up an old mouse pad too.

I like OKC_Kent's mousepad idea; that what I used too. Since I re-did mine I found a NOS one still in the box, and guess what, the soft foam they used deteriorated even though never on a bike or outside. It will crumble in your fingers if you're not careful. I plan to use it as a pattern to do a neater job on my original mount next time I have the gages off. Ed

I used some black weatherstripping foam insulation - I bought it from a Home Depot/Lowes type of store.
