Speedo compatability

[I may have asked this before . Forgive me if I have but I want to put and aftermarket mini speedo on my 84 gpz 550
One site said all Japanese bikes use 2:1 on 21" wheel.
I have an 18" wheel . Appreciate the help.

If the wheel #s you stated are correct than the ratio for a 18" wheel would be 1.71:1
