No fire!!

I have no spark to the plugs does this mean I need a new coil or contact breaker?

check to see if you have any battery voltage first before you start throwing parts at it then do all the trouble shooting steps that are in your manual. and if you don't have a manual get one it doesn't which one matter as long as its in english

Ive got a haynes book, and I have a brand new battery fully charged,I have tried to go through the steps of checking everything, I dont know if it could be a timing issue??

no,it did say to check with that, I am not familiar with how to do it though! lol I just bought this as a project and I am trying to figure it out as i go!

CHECK all your fuses,then make sure your kill switch is working.You should have 12 volts at your coils too ground whenever the ignition is turned on.

How do I check to see if I have 12volts to the coils? I will do a fuse check also I have taken the plug wire off the plug and cranked it over to see if there was any spark and there was nothin on each side

Thanks Tim I will do that, I have NEVER messed with a motorcycle and it has been an experience, I have enjoyed working on it myself and learning about it. I would like to try to figure it out and get it running myself. This site has been excellent and I appreciate it, I will get back with you when I get the tester and hopefully get this thing on track to having fun!
