New to KZ's and having issues with my 77 400
26 Oct 2008 07:38
As stated, I'm working with a 77 400 and the wiring was a complete rat's nest of jumbled poo. Nothing was wired correctly and the wires that were connected were spliced 3 times with wrong colors and thats just the beginning. Anyway, I can ride the bike but only on battery. The alternator isn't charging the battery and the r/r is not oem. Whoever installed it didn't bother to buy the correct one or even one that had the correct amount of wires in/out. I have a manual and have decided that maybe some alternator parts have lost their magnetism. My question tho, is where can I get alternator parts, and where can I get the correct r/r?
The rest of the paragraph is just background info in case anyone who reads this has any advice for me.

Found a ton of info on another site. r/r wasn't working right.
