Just out of nowhere, my starter will not turn over. Worked fine all summer, then all of a sudden a week ago, starter wouldn't turn over. A couple days later, it turned over and started the bike, but later that afternoon, it would not. Hasnt since. I shorted the solenoid and it does not turn the starter over, but arcs and makes a nice pretty blue spark and leaves a burn on my screwdriver?!. When i push the starter button, I can hear the solenoid click and the starter wants to turn over (gives me a small chug) like the battery is dead. I have checked the battery and it is good, starter button and clutch safety switch are all functioning properly as well.
Any other suggestions, or any methods for testing that I need to try before i shell out money for a new starter?
