I have two good running KZ900s with Dyna coils, a good running KZ1000E1 with Dyna coils and if I ever get off my tail and start/finish another 1980 KZ1000E2 project, I will have yet another good running KZ with Dyna S coils.

I bet if I owned your bike for about 10 minutes, I would have a 5th good running KZ hehe

What kind of ignition are you running? the stock points or the factory electronic ignition with the IC Ignitor?

A slim possibility is a bad coil, can you switch coils around and see if the problem follows the switch?

Get a spray bottle of water and spray the exhaust sytem to find the cylinder(s) not firing, switch coils and see if it's the same.

I currently use Dyna 3.0 Ohm coils(green) with a Dyna S ignition. Never had a problem. I agree with MFolks try switching the coils.

Check and make sure the wires (not plug wires) going to the coils are connected correctly. Check voltage going to the coils also.

The Dyna 3 ohm coils come with terminal lugs that attach to the coils with screws.

How did you crimp the primary wires(red,Green and black) and what screws and lock washers did you use? Could the screws be too long and "bottoming out" before they get tight?

the wires are connected properly, nothing is crimped on I soldered everything, have solid core plug wire soldered ends on that to,did the coil relay mod.I bought the dyna ignition used off ebay the coils are new from Z1enterpises.I was suspecting the module so I swapped the one from my CB750 and it still sputters. When I bought the dyna ignition the guy said he couldn't find the rotor and a few days later found it, is it possible I have the wrong rotor?
