KZ 440 starter clutch

Hello all,

I am a new rider, I just picked up a 1980 kz440 for my first bike and I love her! I seem to be having one problem though. When I try to hit the electric start (no kickstart on this model), all i hear is a whirring noise. The lights have no problem coming on....its a new battery....and I was able to get her running by pop starting it.


I fear it may be the starter clutch, has anyone ever replaced this? I am still new to working on bikes....how difficult will this be?:S
