1977 KZ 650 ignition coils on a 1974 Z1 900?

is this a direct swap? the coils physically look the same i want a stock apperence for my 74 z1 and the dyna coils with red wires arent doing it. The kz 650 coils are new old stock still in the box.

74 Z1a 900 (Apart and making it better than ever)
77 Kz 650b (Threw a rod, going to sandwich in a 900 or 1000 motor)
76 Kz 400d

Why not just order new Dyna wires from Jeff @ Z1 if you have Dyna coils already?
I used to have the yellow ones ( retro look ) but Jeff talked me into the black or gray ones so it would look stock. And it does:) Maybe $15.00 for them, it's been a year or two..

I'd be very surprised if they didn't work if they fit into the location. A coil's a coil.

If you want to check the Kawi OEM numbers, Bike Bandits site has them listed.
