IC Ignitor questions
29 Jun 2008 17:26
I have a 77 parts bike with a cobbled up factory IC Ignitor ignition conversion using coils that ohm at 2.5 & 2.9 using screw on plug wire attachments. The ignitor is an 8 wire, part # 2119-1041. Can someone tell me what year this would be off of and whether I need to use a resistor or just run it like it was? Ive had it running on the parts bike so I know that it does run. I plan to do the coil relay upgrade at the same time, is there anything else I need to know? Im a decent mechanic but not the sharpest crayon in the box when it comes to electronics. Thanks for the help guys, this is a great forum !

Thanks to a post by Scatdrat mentioning Cycle Parts Nation I was able to determine that the IC Ignitor is an 81-82 without the resistor needed. All I need to know is if the coils will work and any handy tips for the conversion
