Dyna 2000 Ignition Troubles
18 Apr 2008 22:10 - 18 Apr 2008 22:13
I am finally to the ignition stage of my project(76 Kz900) and was just installing the Dyna 2000 ignition and coils that I bought. I have everything hooked up correctly as far as the wiring goes but the timing light just continually blinks when I turn the ignition on and there is no spark. Does anyone have any idea what usually causes this? the manual is no help. Thanks!!

I found that the dyna manual had great troubleshooting help.
Well it seems that the ignition is sending a signal to the coil, but the buck stops there.
Would the timing light still fire if it were reading the leads off of the dyna ignition while it was not hooked up to the coils? If it did read a wire with no path to ground then it might be the red/yellow wire going to the kill switch.
Dude, check your kill switch.....
