#1 cylinder not firing.....

.....where should I start.I have a 77 KZ650 with 4into1 headers and dyna ignition ,green dyna coils and air pod filters.I originally had a problem with the #3 cylinder so I took the carbs off and cleaned them.It ran great until I actually took it for a ride.Then It bogged down and died on me.I took carbs off to clean again.I put a new petcock in,I sprayed carb cleaner to see if carb boots were leaking and no problems there.So Im wondering if my problem is with the coils of the ignition being bad but Im not sure how to test those other that test for spark witch I do have spark.Any body care to take a stab??Thanks,Tony

Update:while waiting for a response I went out to tinker and it seems now I do not have spark in any of the cylinders .Both coils have 11.9 volts to them but when I turn over with used spark plug in the wire no cylinder fires.I suspect maybe the dyna s ignition is bad.Anyone know how to test that???

update:If anyone cares I contacted Dyna tech line and he had me test the ignition and it was bad.
Test procedure was to put multimeter to read ohms and place the negative lead to the plate.Place the positive lead to one of the wires that feeds the coils.You should read no resistance!Repeat on oppisite coil feed wire.If anyone cares to know the procedure!!

It is kind if demoralising when nobody replies but great that you found the problem in such a short time. Seems like Dyna were very helpfull. I have to admit I know absolutely nothing about Dyna ignitions.

oh im not upset that nobody replied,I just wanted to share the info with you guys.Many people on this site have helped me in the past.Plus im impatient and gotta fiqure things out or I cant stop thinking about it!And yes The dyna tech line was very helpful.Thanks guys!!

I have talked to the dyna people before they are very good, mine turned out to be a bad connection, but they were willing to send me a up grade for a small amount of money rather than me buying a whole new system

Yeh they were definetly helpful as far as the tech line goes but they refered me to Z1 ent to do a exchange and it turns out after talking with Rob at Z1 ent.Dynatek should have set that up for me right after they found out it was bad.But I got it sqaured away!!
