i am trying to find out how to wire my 83 550m1 with minimal wiring, and i mean minimal. I plan on running a toggal switch for the on/off and a button to start it, head/tail lite and thats it. Any help or a point in the rite direction would be great. thanx.

I've posted several designs under the term "bare bones" wiring.

I'll try to post a diagram when I get a chance. In the mean time try to search "bare bones"... hopefully they'll show up.

I'm almost finished wiring that harness into my bike...should be ready to fire up soon. Hope it works for you!
