Does anyone know where this is located on a '76 kz900 and what it plugs in to?

On the 76'LTD I believe they were under the headlight. I was there when my brother destroyed his. It was wicked loud. Especially sitting at a red light. First he covered it in silicone seal to muffle it but still didn't care for it so he took a baseball bat to it. :woohoo: Silence is Golden -The Tremeloes :S and I guess Frankie Valli too!

My '74 CB550 has one of these buzzers, a fact I was never aware of until last year when I installed a new wiring harness and saw it in the wiring diagram. Once the wiring job was finished, everything worked perfectly, including the buzzer. After testing it few a few seconds, I immediately unplugged the buzzer; it's annoying as hell.

Mine was working when I bought the bike, but I disconnected it the next day.
It was real loud, and waiting at a long light made me kind of uncomfortable.

Check the archive here for the wiring diagram. It might show you where it is in relation to the wiring harness.
That is what I would do if it were my bike.

Still have mine connected its embarrassing but its supposed to be to be effective. What's worse 20 seconds of buzzer or 30 minutes of left turn signal down the highway:laugh:

The buzzer is mounted under the headlight shell towards the left side if you are sitting on the bike. It is teed off the brown circuit which feeds the flasher relay... the brown is a switched circuit off the ignition switch. I have the buzzer hooked up on one of my KZ900 carb test bikes. It isn't particularly loud and can't really be heard while the bike is running... I think there is an adjustment screw on the back but I can't recall for sure.
