one BIG problem was created by kustomville
hi there, im new at this but i already have one big problem.
i bought a ´78 (i think,cause it doesnt have papers)z650
from an english guy in portugal...
here starts the problem; the bike came in boxes!!!!
it was all desmonted...complete,but desmonted.
my ideia is to build one bad ass chopper out of her cause the engine was running when i bought it.
the real deal is that there´s no wiring...
i have all the stuff from the bike except the wiring.
it seems that the guy just cut them all off and through them away.
i just want to know how to put the engine running direct, without any lights or eletric start( i prefer kick start;its a chopper, after all).
aparently from the engine (eletric part) should come out a wire to each coil. from the coils to the sparkplugs and to the condenser. the coils also go to the red of the battery and the black is ground, right???
can anyone can tell me how do i start my bike; no eletric start, no lights, nothing...DIRECT!!!
is there a simple wiring for a z 650???
thanks by now.

Hello Kustomville:
Go to the main page of KZRider, click on the KZ Information tab, then on the Filebase tab. Then select 1978, then the model you think you might have (there were three Z650 models released in 1978). Choose a model and under that model will be the a pdf link to the wiring diagram. As for what wiring you can eliminate and still run, I don't have a clue.

Here's the bare minimum. Actually, you could get rid of the battery too, if you replace it with a big capacitor.
