The mod is great. I was getting 11.2 V to the coils, now I get 12.3 V. Anyway, to save the money I tried something I learned from way back. All you need is some RTV/silicone, and confidence in your wiring skills.
Here is a pic. I have yet to decide the final wire layout, so it isn't pretty yet.
