dyna ignition wiring

in an attempt to troubleshoot, I want to check the timing and make sure the dyna on my bike is correctly installed. It is an older unit purchased in '99. It says DYNA 000 ELECTRONIC IGNITION on the front of the box and has 9833 stamped on the back. Mostly I wanting some kind of wiring info. The PO history on this bike is a nightmare and I want to double-check everything they could have screwed up.

The Dyna III boxes have the I's looking a little like a O - kind of a hollow I.
