Is there a starter motor I can slot into a KZ1000J that has a bit more grunt than the standard one ?

The bikes 1st 8 miles after rebuild today and the starter motor does not do the job. It ticks over and runs fine but went to the gas station and it would not start until I bumped it !

KZ1000J
Weisco 1075 kit.
Gas flowed and skimmed head.
Oversize exhaust valves.
New stainless valves (cut in on a Serdi 5 in Ireland).
Standard air box.
Standard idle jets.
137.5 mains.
Ape cylinder head studs and bolts.
Uprated Clutch.
Ohlins shocks.
Marshal 4:1 exhaust.
Dyna coils.

Rumour has it that a CB750 starter motor is better and will fit ?

The starter from an 82 cb900 is what i installed in my modified J. The only issue is with the stud for the starter wire, it is at the opposite end compared to a J starter. I used a dremel tool and machined the tab on the inside of the rear cover of the starter and reindexed the stud down to clear the sprocket cover. It's an excellent upgrade and the engine turns over like a stocker now no matter how hot it gets. The cb750 is the same but rated at .07kw, 900 is .08kw and the stock kaw is .06kw.
Wish i had done this 17 years ago when i installed the wiseco 1135cc kit. Have had problems with it starting hot ever since.
