'82 kz750 stator in a '79 kz750?

Hi all. I just bought this little beauty from a friend at work and he said it needs a new stator. It's a 1976 KZ750. I have found a stator out of an '82 KZ750.

Does anyone know if they have the same stator? The Kawi dealer I spoke to didn't have a parts list for my 1976 bike.

The original 1976 stator is different from the 1982 one.

I just helped a friend upgrade his to the newer stator and rotor.

You don't need the dealer for part numbers ANYMORE!

On the right hand side of the screen, click on, 'Kawasaki Parts Diagrams' and you can check for yourself.

I have one out of a 77 But dont know if it is any good still in the engine , I have the regulator too again unknown condition
