coil location ? was created by donthekawguy
OK so the new swingarm for my bike has a battery box in it. I'm thinking of mounting the coils in where the old battery box used to go. Any negatives about this plan?

On a Kaw Vulcan, the coils are mounted at the rear of the engine and towards the swingarm. The plug wires loop along the frame as yours will need to do. The OEM wires can be replaced and I have replaced them with aftermarket wire... both NGK and Accel wire and there don't seem to be any issues with the long plug wires.
