My kz1300 A1 is having voltage regulator issues. The diagnosis isn't one I am making, but comes from an actual bike mechanic (he has checked stator and all the wiring/connections etc). The regulator apparently isn't putting out enough of a charge to keep the battery where it needs to be even when it is running.
My question has to deal with the aftermarket voltage regulators out on the internet. My bike calls for part # 21066-1007 due to the engine number. The aftermarket regulators don't mention anything about the need for a different unit due to engine number, but just say they will work with all kz1300's. Will these aftermarket units work with my bike or will they cause issues.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
