Starter Question

Should there be continuity from the starter lead terminal (the post on the starter) to ground? I would think not.

Actually there well be a little continuity, not sure of the ohms though. Your starter will still be making contact with ground through the brushes. You are just reading the ground circuit in the starter.
78 650-C2, Stock engine, Jardine 4-2 Exh., 17-38 sprockets, dyna ignition and coils, coil wiring mod, carb mod.
