Hey guys got a question. Can I use a reg/rec from an 80 LTD KZ1000 for my 78 Z1R, or my buddy has one from a 78 KZ750 that he says I can try. I don't want to damage anything by doing the old trial and error thing.
I can't see a problem. Hookups may not be compatible, but wire cutters, soldering iron and shrink wrap should fix that. Check alternator output for any drastic differences in outout amps.
