My 79 750 twin has developed a problem, it burned up the reg/rec, coil, headlight and tail light last fall so I put it away till I could get to it, so I put in all good stuffand it ran seemed like no problem I rode it for a while then it burned the reg/rec, so I got another one and with the bike switched off when connecting it the wire got real hot(the one from positive cable)so scince I had the stuff I replaced the stator, starter sol, right control switch and I tried the positive reg wire again ,same thing real hot turned red,I disconnected the stator no spark(this is another stator remember)no short, reconnected the stator and disconnected the other wire, short again any ideas
