Z1R gauge lens was created by unkle fester
got a buddy who has a 79 Z1R...the speedo lens is cracked....is this lens replaceable????? on the parts diagram it doesn't show the lens seperate....but if it can be replaced,,,,,,does anybody have one or where can I get one.....thanks

Bob at Z-Resto offers the lense for that speedo. In fact, they actually cut their own lenses for replacements and completely restore gauges for older bikes like ours.
It shows Bob hasn't logged into KZr for over a year now, but I still see him active on eBay (ID: canyondancerbids).
If you check under the members listing here for "canyondancer", you can send him an email and inquire on pricing and availability for that lense.

UF, Any glass shop can cut a new speedometer glass or you can cut one yourself from plexiglass. You are limited to the mil (thickness) you can use since the speedometer case won't seal if you go too thick. I would go for glass it doesn't scratch easily. Just cut a template out of cardboard and take it into a glass shop and they can cut one in minutes.
