My turbo project is a 78 kz650 and i need coils. They must be points. Would points from a 78 kz 1000 work?

1980, I think.

But, you say you need coils. The stock coils are 4 ohm primary and the Dyna coils are 3 ohm which I think will work with points.

Points tuneup kits are readily available.

if you are going to spend the bucks to run a turbo, why not upgrade to the dyna system, you will get better fire from it and a lot more reliable
