1981 kz650D4 wiring harness

Okay, Now I know I have a 1981 KZ 650D4, anyone have an outlet for a wiring harness, or a set of pick-up coils, any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Willing tp pay for parts, just can't find any.

partsman, are you sure about what you have? In 1981 Kawasaki only made one 650 which was the CSR and it was designated an H-1. The 650 LTD was made in 1980 and it was designated an E-1. The SR models were made in 78 and 79 and were designated D-1 and D-2. Can you put up a pic so we can narrow down what you have for sure?

I will take some pics and post them tommorrow, according to the wiring diagram in the back of the haynes book and the frame number and engine number, I am so confused I don't know anymore, It does'nt look like the F series bikes, it's electric start only(no kick) has pick-up coils instead of points and has disc brakes all the way around. Why can't this be as easy as my 74 Z1 ??? LOL!!!

Found out this weekend that the bike is definitely a canadian import and that the harnesses are the same, any of the harnesses 1981 or later I can make work. thanks. James
