no charge for the battery party! was created by clubhobo
This thing is driving me crazy...I've unplugged and cleaned battery post..grounds...rectifier connections and the "new" battery is still not getting a charge. I'm getting 70 to 75AC volts from the dyno/alternator...any last ditch ideas before I chew my arm off or buy a different rectifier? thanks

How many volts are You SUPPOSED to be getting from the alt?
Is it the 3-wire system?(3 wires coming from the alt.)

I had an issue years ago with My system...one of the 3 wires had broken off inside, and it wasn't producing enough to rum the lights and the ignition...battery could,'t quite keep up.
Have You checked all the wires coming from the alt?

That's what the book sais...75 volts and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to have only the two yellow leads that I checked..I did by buy some more battery fluid today...if that's it I'm going to be torked off....I'd rather not take the bike in for something so lame.
